Great

It's hard not to smile when listening to this.

eatbox1997 responds:

Aw thanks :3 This is really the only song I've ever done like this so this is wonderful news to me.

Early 90's thrash/death

Kind of reminds me of a much more simplified "The Key" era Nocturnus.

This absolutely destroys

At the risk of sounding like I'm swinging from your balls, I literally fell in love with this track in the first ten seconds. This is definitely joining me in my car so that I may subject it to my own impromptu vocals. A seriously great song, can't wait to recommend it.

I do have a question though, I can't tell if one of the leads is a straight synth part or an effected guitar. If it is an effected guitar, what are you using?

DiroNomer responds:

For the lead I used slayer.

I am glad that you enjoyed this song. People like you inspire me to make more music. Thanks for commenting :D

Wha....?

I am totally not trying to be a dick, but this sounds like someone going through their sample bank and just cycling through and testing a bunch of sounds.

Conal responds:

Welcome to the world of speedcore.

Made me spit out my coffee

I laughed my ass off, if only because I have done this EXACT same thing on probably more than one occasion. Points for posting.

Nfinity responds:

Thanks for the review! They say that punching pillows and screaming "F***" as you angrily shred your guitar strings actually fuels one's anger, but I bed to differ. I felt much better after this session.

Great job

This is a really great representation of the djent style. Not sure what else to say about it other then it's great. Especially like the DIY electronic bits.

Eteocles responds:

Right on man, glad you enjoyed it! I thought the techno parts were weird but people seem to like it, so perhaps I'll experiment a bit more with this technodjent style

Solid

The track has a great backbone to it, but I will second the "re-record" motion. I really like the drums (with the exception of that ride/hi-hat hit) and with a little more clarity they could be really crushing. I also wish the palm muted chugs were crunchier. All in all a good solid piece!

Nice job

This is a really nice straight-forward track. I could really see this used in a flash that was full of sunlight sparkling off of snow.

I would love to hear some distorted and palm muted major chords crunched at about the mid-ground territory here, but that's just me and no reflection on the composition. Trust me the song is great the way it is.

Good job!

bossfight responds:

Thanks for taking your time! :D

The idea about the chords isn't that bad, but the song is aldready up on spotify, so it feels a little bit to late for changes ^^

Can't believe I haven't heard this sooner

Truly great song, and one thing that I think really stands out here is the production. A ton of VG styled stuff that includes distorted guitar just drops dead when it hits the mixing phase. Even critically acclaimed chip and vg bands (I'm thinking of one big name in particular) just let the synth dominate the hell out of the organic stuff. So, while the songs are still great, the power is just straight drained out of the guitar and live (sounding) drums. It's really awesome to see that it doesn't HAVE to be that way.

MashedByMachines responds:

Thank you for your constructive comment :) you should check out my newer songs if you liked this one :)
